Bar Events

The Castlebay Bar hosts musical and other events throughout the year. If you want to know what is happening on a particular date or during a planned trip, please email us.

The Vatersay Boys play in the Bar many times during the year – see www.thevatersayboys.com. Nollie is another local musician who performs regularly.

Other types of entertainment are sometimes put on; in 2009 acts include a hypnotist and a psychic medium.

Barra Events

Barrafest, on 31 July and 1 August 2009, is a music festival taking place next to the most westerly beach in the UK! Confirmed bands include The Vatersay Boys, Face The West, Skerrymore, and Nollie & Co. Please click on www.barrafest.co.uk.
